This year’s exhibition as a part of ‘The Beginnings: Different Approaches to Drawing’ series opens on 20th April at Sabancı University Kasa Gallery. Works of three artists who produce in different genre and media will be on show until 28th May2005.

Drawing, which starts as scribbles on pieces of paper and is considered as the foreshadow of the creative process, is the focus of the series and this year’s participating artists are Bayram Candan sculptor, Esat Tekand painter and Murat Yılmaz advertorial art director.

The exhibition proposes diverse attitudes in language of drawing; Bayram Candan’s installation composed of metal wire figurines and clocks, which carries the perception of drawing to the third dimension, Esat Tekand’s preparatory sketches for various stage and costume designs, and Murat Yılmaz’s drawings of ‘meeting doodling’ grouped under various themes, will be on show.
