Kasa Galeri brings together the lithography productions of 36 artists in collaboration with Dou Print Studio between 18 April and 31 May. Dou Print Studio, which aims to increase the visibility of lithography and printing art and to reach wider audiences by paving the way for events to develop printing culture, shares a selection from its Lithography collection with the audience at Kasa Gallery.

Derived from the ancient Greek words Lithos (stone) and Graphein (to write), lithography is a type of flat surface printing based on the non-mixing of oil and water. It is created by printing the shapes and texts drawn with oil ink on limestone onto suitable papers. This technique, also known as lithography, is considered the beginning of today's offset printing technique. The modern offset lithography discipline derives its principles from the lithography method. Limestone was replaced by zinc and aluminum plates prepared by photochemical methods called matrix.

Aiming to develop and popularize lithography and printing culture, Dou Print Studio was founded in 2019 as an independent art initiative to collaborate with artists who want to learn and use Lithography. The studio, run by master printmaker Doğu Gündoğdu and videographer and project coordinator Naz Önen, has been operating as an independent collaborative printing workshop in Ankara Ayrancı since March 2020.

Currently, as the only independent workshop working with this technique in Turkey, Dou Print Studio, which has implemented Lithography Days events with the title "Litho Days", the first of which will be held in 2021 and the second in 2023, hosts the production of works with different editions by working with 41 artists working in different disciplines, both local and international. has hosted.
