The exhibition at the Kasa Gallery on 11 April to 12 May 2001 focused on the cultural phenomena called daily life. Works by Gülsün Karamustafa,Hüseyin Alptekin and Nur Koçak respond to objects and concepts at times considered as camp or kitsch. Upheld by ever-increasing opportunities of our visual age these phenomena furthermore forces the cultural limits of the local . That extreme periphery of this culture embodies both the natural and the artificial, underscoring an ironic dramatic structure.
