The exhibition series aiming to show works by young artists was again reorganized this year. "Winds to the Future" featured the works of Burcu Arisoy, Leyla Gediz and Betul Güney through February 7- March 2, 2001, at Kasa Galeri.
These young visual artists represented Turkey in the 10th Biennial of Young Artists of Europe and the Mediterranean in Sarajevo between July 17-31, 2001. Kirika, a musical group which consists of Salih Nazim Peker on the strings and vocals, Orçun Bastürk on the percussions, Cem Devrim on the electronic bass guitar, and Ferhat Yegül on the trombones and neys, performed on the opening of the exhibit in Kasa Galeri. Kirika also took part in the Biennial and represented Turkey in Sarajevo.
The young artists' works have been evaluated by a committee formed by the Sabanci University. This committee has also acted as members of the jury for the Biennial of Young Artists of Europe and the Mediterranean, formerly held at Thessalonike, Bologna, Marseille, Valencia, Lisbon, Turin and Rome.
